Call Display service combined with a telephone equipped with a special display screen lets you see the telephone name and number of the person calling before you answer. Now you can have the security of knowing who is calling, decide how to answer the call, or to return it at a more convenient time. If you have a home office or business, Call Display service lets you offer a more personalized service to your clients.

How to use Call Display service

After one to two telephone rings, check the display on your telephone set. The name and number of the caller will be displayed, including calls made from non-published numbers.* If a caller has intentionally blocked the display of their name and number, “Private Name”/”Private Number” will appear on your display screen when they call you.

* Call Blocking service must be used to avoid the display of a non-published name and number.

Numbers cannot be correctly displayed when calls are placed from telephones using Call Blocking features, from certain payphones, from some long distance connections, from certain cellular telephones, from some business lines or through the operator.

Call Display Hints and Tips:

Call Display service operates on direct dialed calls.**

• if you subscribe to Call Waiting, the number of a waiting call will not be displayed but can be obtained by using Call Return service.
• When you combine Call Display and Voice Mail services, you have the choice of answering immediately after recognizing the caller’s number, or letting Voice Mail service take the call for you.
• If you receive a Three-Way call, only the name and number of the person who established the call will be displayed.
• Call Display service in conjunction with certain types of telephones provides a caller log of incoming calls.
• If you subscribe to Call Display and you are Call Forwarding to another telephone number or directly to Voice Mail, the incoming calls will not be recorded on your caller list.
