Three-Way Calling
Talk to two people in two different locations at the same time. (Monthly rate or Pay-Per-Use)
Three-Way Callingservice lets you conduct meetings, consult with suppliers or simply chat with friends and family. Talk with two people in two different locations across town or across the country. Talk at the same time or consult privately with one party while the other holds. Three-Way calls made to long distance numbers are also subject to applicable long distance charges.
You must subscribe to Three-Way Calling in order to initiate both calls, or you can choose the Pay-Per-Use feeand you will be billed the appropriate charge.
How to use Three-Way Calling:
- While on a call (orafter placing first call) put the party on hold by briefly pressing the Link, Flash or receiver button. Listen for 3 short beeps followed by regular dial tone. For Pay-Per-Use, press *71 or dial 1171 on arotary phone.
- Dial the number of thesecond party you wish to add to the call. Speed Calling codes may beused, if using a touch-tone set.
- When the third personanswers, you can either briefly press the Link, Flash or receiver button to connect all three parties immediately or consultprivately and press the Link, Flash or receiver buttonwhen finished to return to the original call.
- If the number of thethird party is busy or doesn’t answer, or if you dial the wrong number, pressthe Link, Flash or receiver button twice to return to theoriginal call.
Three-Way Calling Hints and Tips:
- Either of the called parties can hang up at any time without interrupting thecall. The party establishing the three-way call cannot hang up withoutterminating the call.
- Call Waiting services will not work when you establish a Three-Way Calling call. The caller will hear a busy signal or be routed to Voice Mail if the person who established the call subscribes to Voice Mail.
- AThree-Way Calling call cannot be established if extension telephonesare off the hook.
